The Full Process
Browse the Sports
Head to our Sports page and pick the league that sounds right for you. Not sure? Kickball, pickleball, and co-ed soccer are our most popular starting points. Each sport page has the schedule, venue, pricing, and how to register.

Every league has three sign-up options: Free Agent (solo), Small Group (2–5 friends), or Full Team (full roster). Free agent is the most popular — we handle all team placement.

Complete registration on the sport page. Free agents pay an individual fee. Full teams pay a team rate through the captain. You'll get a confirmation with everything you need to know.
We Build Your Team
For free agents and small groups, we manually build balanced teams before the season starts — considering skill level, gender (for co-ed leagues), and group size. Every player gets placed.
How Free Agent WorksSeason Starts — You Play
Seasons run 8–10 weeks with one game per week. Show up at the venue, find your team, and play. A Gem City commissioner is at every game to run things and answer questions.
Playoffs + End of Season
Most leagues end with a playoff round for top teams. After playoffs, we celebrate the season. Some leagues do an end-of-season party at a partner venue.
After the Game:
Two Social, Downtown Dayton
After league nights, players from all teams head to Two Social in downtown Dayton for post-game socials. This is where players across different teams mix, grab drinks, and keep the energy going. For many players, the after-game crowd is just as much a part of the experience as the sport itself.
Mini-game challenges and special events are often hosted at the after-party — another way to meet people outside your own roster.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Gem City Social Sports work?
You register for a sport league, choose whether to join as a free agent, small group, or full team, and we handle the rest. Teams are formed before the season, games run weekly for 8–10 weeks, and post-game socials happen at Two Social in downtown Dayton.
How are teams made for free agents?
After registration closes, we review all free agent sign-ups and manually build balanced teams. We consider experience level, gender ratio (for co-ed leagues), and whether anyone registered as a small group. Every free agent gets placed on a team.
What happens after I register for Gem City Social Sports?
You'll receive a confirmation email with your league details. A few days before the season starts, free agents get their team placement and schedule. On game night, show up at the venue and find your team.
How do adult social leagues work at Gem City?
Leagues run once a week for 8–10 weeks. Each game night is about an hour. After games, players often head to Two Social in downtown Dayton for post-game socials. It's social first — the sport is the vehicle, not the destination.
What to expect from a social sports league in Dayton?
Expect a casual, fun atmosphere with a mix of skill levels. There are commissioners on-site to keep things running. Games are competitive enough to be exciting but relaxed enough for first-timers to enjoy. After-game socials at Two Social are a regular part of the experience.
How do I invite teammates to Gem City Social Sports?
If you register as a full team captain, you'll receive an invite link after checkout to share with your teammates. Each teammate completes their own registration through that link.
What sports does Gem City Social Sports offer?
We run kickball, co-ed soccer, men's soccer, women's soccer, pickleball, cornhole, softball, dodgeball, T-ball, axe throwing, bowling, and bar sports across the Dayton area.
