Call for Presenters

Pitch Your Friend

Be the ultimate wingman. Take the stage, tell their story, and help them find a connection.

What Is a Presenter?

A presenter is the friend of a selected single who takes the stage to pitch why their friend is a great date. The single is the star, but the friend does the presenting.

You are not pitching yourself. You are pitching someone you love and believe in.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone can apply to pitch a single friend. You do not need to be single yourself. Presenters should know the single well, be comfortable speaking in front of a crowd, and be excited to help their friend meet new people.

HOW IT WORKS

01

How Singles Are Chosen

Friends submit applications to pitch their single. The Two Social team selects 6 singles for each event. Selected singles and their presenters are notified ahead of time. Each event features a new lineup of singles to keep things fresh.

02

The Pitch

On event night, presenters go on stage for a 3-5 minute pitch. Share fun stories, personality traits, and what makes your friend special. Help the audience understand what kind of connection they need.

03

After the Pitches

Once all pitches are complete, the event transitions into a singles mixer. Presenters and singles can mingle with guests, and everyone is free to connect naturally.

What a Great Pitch Includes

  • How you met your friend
  • What makes them a great partner
  • Their hobbies, interests, and quirks
  • What they are looking for in a connection
  • Fun or sweet stories showing personality
  • Humor (encouraged!) and kindness (required)

What to Avoid

  • Embarrassing or humiliating stories
  • Personal secrets or sensitive details
  • Insults, sexual content, mean-spirited jokes
  • Ex-partner drama or trauma stories

The goal is to build your friend up, not roast them.

Format & Props

Presenters may speak freely or bring notes. You can use photos or short slides if approved ahead of time. Small props are welcome if quick and appropriate.

Microphones and stage provided.

Time Limit

Each presenter gets 3 to 5 minutes. We will give a gentle time warning if needed. Keeping it tight helps keep the show energetic and fun!

Do Singles Speak?

No pressure. Singles do not have to present, but may say hello, answer a quick fun question, or simply wave. The spotlight stays on the presenter.

Why We Use Friends

Friends see the best in you. This format removes awkward self-promotion, creates funny moments, and helps singles feel supported.

READY TO PITCH?

Submit an application to present at our next Date My Friend event. We choose a new group of singles each time, so every event is a fresh opportunity.
