How we play

Do I need to bring a glove or bat?

No. Adult T-ball uses a padded ball, with all bats provided by GCSS. Players cannot bring their own bats and do not need gloves.

What are the t-ball gender requirements?

A team fielding 10 players must include at least 3 female players. Teams may play with 9 players if they have at least 2 female players on the field. These on-field minimums are separate from registration roster-capacity targets.

What are the t-ball home-plate and commit-line rules?

Home plate is a dead, open collision-buffer zone. Runners score by touching the runner zone; a defensive player makes the force out by possessing the ball in the catcher zone before the runner arrives. No tags at home. Crossing the halfway commit line requires continuing toward home, except the caught-fly-ball return-to-base exception. Read the full rules before playing.
