I don't have a full team. Can I still sign up for T-Ball?

Absolutely! Signing up as a Free Agent is one of the most popular ways to join. We will draft you onto a team with other Free Agents and Small Groups — it's the perfect way to meet new people.

I have a few friends who want to play but not enough for a full team. What do we do?

Accepted Answer

Select the Small Group option when you register and create a group. Have your friends select that group when they sign up. We'll make sure you all stay on the same team and fill the rest of your roster with Free Agents.

How many players make a full T-Ball team?

Accepted Answer

We play with 10 players on the field at a time. The recommended roster size is 15 players so you have plenty of subs. Full team registrations can carry additional players to cover occasional absences.

Is the T-Ball league co-ed?

Accepted Answer

Yes! T-Ball is a highly social, co-ed league. Teams must have a minimum of 3 females on the field at all times.

Do I need to bring a baseball glove?

Nope — our league is completely glove-free. We use a specially designed padded ball that makes barehanded catching easy and completely painless.

What kind of ball do you use? Is it a hard baseball?

Accepted Answer

We use a custom 5-inch padded ball. It has enough weight to launch off the bat and throw easily, but it's soft enough that catching it barehanded or getting tagged doesn't hurt at all.

Do I need to buy my own bat?

No. We supply T-Ball bats for every game. Players are not allowed to bring their own bats to keep the playing field level and safe.

What kind of shoes should I wear? Are cleats allowed?

Regular athletic shoes, turf shoes, or plastic molded cleats all work great. Metal spikes are strictly prohibited for player safety.

How long do T-Ball games last?

Games last a full 7 innings.

Are the games umpired?

Yes! We provide trained referees and umpires for every game.

Where and when are T-Ball games played?

T-Ball games are played on Wednesday evenings at Kettering Fields. Game times rotate weekly throughout the evening.

Is there an after-party after games?

Always. After games, the league heads to our sponsor bar, Two Social, to grab drinks and hang out with teammates.

Do T-Ball players get team shirts?

Official team t-shirts in your team's color are available for $10 to wear on game days.

What happens if a T-Ball game is rained out?

Accepted Answer

All players will be notified on game day. Make-up weeks are built into the end of the season schedule so you won't miss any action.
